FAQ: Character Collections for The Fantasy Trip

Why are there no convenient print pledge levels for Character Collections?

Books are expensive and I understand a lot of folks are still dealing with issues much more important than gaming materials. My goal is to provide a valuable resource for GMs looking for some help running their games without a lot of added expense.

That said, the options are there if you can afford them, but provided as add-ons. This lets each backer choose what they want.

That seemed the best way to provide some flexibility in getting everyone the right stuff for their table (virtual or in-person).

Just remember: the stretch goals are tied to backer count, not dollars. Pledge for the PDFs you want, and then come back during the Backerkit phase to pick and choose physical materials when things are more certain!

Is there a simple way to know how much to pledge?

Because of the stretch goal structure…that’s not a simple answer.

If you want

• CC1, 2, and 3 in PDF; you already have CC1: Select the $10 tier and pledge $29 • CC1, 2, and 3 in both print and PDF: Select the $10 tier and pledge $37 • Books and cards for CC1, 2, and 3 (assumed we pass 350 backers): Select $10 and pledge $87 • Everything new available physically on campaign start: Select $10 tier and pledge $212 (this includes all card and counter sheets from More Perilous Journeys as well as the CC materials)

Some other numbers: How much do I add to my digital pledge if I want… • All the softcovers if we hit 1,000 backers: +$58 to your digital pledge • All the cards if we hit 1,000 backers: +$175 if you have the 5PJ cards; +$195 if you don’t • All the counters if we hit $1,000 backers: +$130 if you have the 5PJ counters, +$180 if you don’t

So...what ships where?

• Books ship from either the USA or the UK to the whole world; the shipping should be reasonable • Cards are printed and shipped from the USA to the whole world; shipping is likely high internationally • Counters are printed in China and only available in the USA at this time

Will there be digital cards or counters?

• Each of the new books will have a counter array printed on the inside front and back covers as well as next to the character writeup. You can print your own with this • There are no plans to offer the cards digitally

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
